His first big American film break when he did the silent film The Artist. He won an Oscar for his performance and has since appeared in other Hollywood blockbusters like The Wolf of Wall Street and The Monuments Men.

2Guillaume Canet

As well as being an actor, Guillaume Canet is also a film director, screenwriter and show jumper. His most famous roles were in Joyeux Noël, Love Me If You Dare and The Beach. He started his directorial debut in 2006 with his film Tell No One and won a César (The French equivalent of the Oscars) for Best Director. He was once married to the beautiful German model and actress Diane Kruger, and also dated Carla Bruni. He is now in a relationship with Marion Cotillard.

This sex symbol of the 60s is associated with the French New Wave. He was one of the biggest movie stars in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. His two biggest films are Breathless and That Man from Rio, which were both from the 60s. His other notable movies are Trapped by Fear, Letters By a Novice, Seven Days… Seven Nights, and Two Women. He had a relationship with Ursula Andress (the ultimate Bond girl) and then with Laura Antonelli, an Italian actress. He was often compared to Humphrey Bogart and James Dean but preferred being cast in Cary Grant-like roles.
