His first big American film break when he did the silent film The Artist. He won an Oscar for his performance and has since appeared in other Hollywood blockbusters like The Wolf of Wall Street and The Monuments Men.

As well as being an actor, Guillaume Canet is also a film director, screenwriter and show jumper. His most famous roles were in Joyeux Noël, Love Me If You Dare and The Beach.
